Humpty Dumpty Rules OK?

Miss Muffet.jpgPerhaps our most ambitious pantomime was a spectacular success in January 2004.  Humpty Dumpty Rules OK!, written and directed by Peter Nolan, included more than 50 players and an enormous backstage effort to bring off a plot involving the evil Rhymecatcher (Geoff Jones) and his scheme to steal all the rhymes from the magical kingdom ruled over by Old King Cole (Andrew Telford) and the Queen of Hearts (Sue Withers).  Along the way the audience meets up with a Little Miss Muffet (Lily Cooper) who is not at all scared of spiders, Mary Mary Quite Contrary Dads Army.jpg(Roz Knowles) who cannot decide who to marry and Dame Do-it-all (Craig Hewlett) who is mad about the Grand Old Duke of York (Tony Holley) who marches his ‘Dad's Army’ up to the top of the hill and then....well, you know the rest!

Here is what the NODA crit of the panto said:  "the pantomime was really written for the 40 young people of the company and they all became stars the minute they walked on stage....it was fun and frolics all the way."
